Around and About

St Issey itself is perfectly located for a holiday break, allowing you the opportunity to get away from it all while also remaining close to the delights (particularly culinary delights) of nearby Padstow. The hamlet has its own church, pub and village shop with gorgeous sandy beaches only five miles away, where you can indulge in the three "S's" that the area has become famous for (sunbathing, swimming and surfing). The local area is also popular with walkers – there are some incredible coastal path walks offering a heady combination of Atlantic views, invigorating sea air and wonderful countryside. Padstow is certainly worth a visit; with the figure of culinary giant Rick Stein looming large over the town, it's a must for foodies but also a great place to shop and people watch. Other attractions include the ferry across the Camel estuary to Rock, or the Eden Project (just 20 miles away) – if you can tear yourself away from this lovely part of the country.

Cornwall's visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain's premier holiday destinations.
