Set on the clifftop above the pretty fishing village of Port Isaac, Moonfleet is a commanding Victorian house boasting spectacular sea and coastal views. Sleeping up to ten guests, Moonfleet is full of traditional and characterful features including large windows, high ceilings and slate floors on the ground floor area that create the perfect scene for that memorable family holiday. From the moment you start unpacking the car, in the private parking space(s), Moonfleet’s stunning setting will capture your attention. Walk into a stylish and contemporary farmhouse style kitchen, equipped with Everhot range cooker and lots of worktop space for creating fabulous meals during your stay. The elegant dining space is light and bright and has a large window seat where you can settle after a meal and take in the splendid views. There are two sitting rooms to choose from, providing lots of flexibility for a large family. The cosy ground-floor sitting room has a large TV and gas-fire – perfect for lighting on nights when the temperature begins to drop. Climb the stairs to the first-floor to discover another cosy sitting room that is ideal for curling up with a good book or admiring the views from the window. There are five bedrooms set over two floors and on the first-floor you will find the master king-size bedroom, with en-suite bathroom, and a zip/link twin room that can be made into a super-king size on request. Ascend the stairs to the second-floor to discover two further king-size rooms, a double room, and a stylish family bathroom. On sunny days enjoy your morning cup of tea from the slate patio at the front of the house before playing ball games on the lawned garden at the rear. From your doorstep, take a short stroll into the old village and harbour of Port Isaac. Pull on your jumper and walking boots and tackle the coastal paths that sweep around the clifftops from Moonfleet - the coastal views ate stunning and if you are really lucky, you may be able to spot a pod of dolphins following the boats. Families with children will be delighted to hear that there are plenty of family friendly attractions close by, including Newquay Zoo, Padstow Sealife Safaris, and Tintagel Castle. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.
