High Perch, as the name suggests, sits on an elevated position, overlooking Port Isaac, in North Cornwall. Ideal for a large family or group of friends, High Perch sleeps up to eight guests and has four bedrooms and three bathrooms spread over two floors. The large wooden deck that runs around three sides of the property really makes the most of the location, providing magnificent views and an outside dining space from which to enjoy them. The large open-plan living/dining room can easily accommodate eight people, whether that is round the toasty woodburning stove or sat at the stylish dining table, and the sleek and modern kitchen has all the amenities necessary to whip up a gourmet meal.
Off the living/dining room are two good-sized twin rooms, both with patio doors that lead out onto the wooden deck. At the top of the stairs are two very spacious bedrooms: one containing a king-size bed, and the other a double, both with en-suite bathrooms and benefitting from incredible views. Port Isaac is a pretty fishing village that still has a working fishing harbour; dine out Michelin star restaurants and proper Cornish pubs for locally brewed ale or simply enjoy salty fish and chips on the harbour wall. Explore the local area and spend a day out on the nearby coastal footpath over to Lobber Point, National Trust owned Port Quin, or enjoy a scenic car drive over to Polzeath which boasts a wider choice of seaside adventure.
Discover the adventurous South West Coast Path or spend a day roaming around Port Gaverne or Bodmin Moor. For a relaxing break on the Cornish coast choose High Perch.
Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.
