1 Tintagel offers the perfect opportunity to explore the beauty and history of this working fishing village, with its unique setting in between sheer cliffs and picture perfect Cornish coves. Tread the South West Coast Path for a challenging walk to Port Quin, owned by the National Trust, or to the nearby Port Gaverne, where you can accompany a coasteering group for a guided exploration of coves and cliffs. A short 10-minute drive will bring you to stunning Polzeath beach, ideal for surfing and bodyboarding; Daymer Bay with its gentle waters perfect for smaller children; or Rock, renowned for its many water sports including sailing and water skiing, with a foot ferry across to Padstow.

A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.
