Guests say

FernGully is a well-regarded cottage in Cornwall, praised for its high standard, beautiful setting, and cleanliness. Guests appreciate the warm welcome from the owners and the property's proximity to local attractions. The cottage offers a range of amenities, including a games room and children's play area, contributing to its charm. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is one of comfort and enjoyment in a picturesque location.

The majority of guests found FernGully very clean, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, one review mentioned a mouldy bedsheet and a wet carpet, which slightly impacts the overall cleanliness score.

The location is highly praised for its beauty and peacefulness, with easy access to beaches and towns like Newquay, Padstow, and Port Isaac. The serene lake walk and countryside views are particularly appreciated.

Guests generally found FernGully comfortable, with cosy and well-decorated interiors. However, there were comments about uncomfortable beds and the suggestion of adding memory foam toppers, which suggests room for improvement in this area.

The facilities, including a games room and laundry, are well-received, but some guests encountered issues such as a non-functioning oven and the need for 50p to play pool. Upgrades to kitchen appliances and clearer instructions could enhance the experience.

While the reviews reflect a positive experience with the owners and the property's amenities, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would fall under the category of thoughtfulness. Therefore, this score cannot be provided.

We did the lovely little woodland walk in the rain one evening and imagine it would be even better if dry. The games room was a great addition and we went in every evening to play pool, you do need 50p to play though. The cottage had everything most people need, there were just a few things that could make it even better (sweeping brush, bigger bin) The laundry room was very useful. I do like to do washing on holiday as having three children I can’t wait until I get home ☺️ The cottage was further away from the beach than i realised but that wasn’t an issue, you are very close to lots of places. The manager was extremely helpful and let us check in early with leaving home in the early hours with three children.
