Just a short drive to Padstow, this luxury lakeside lodge is set on the exceptional spa and water sports resort Retallack, with its year-round indoor pool and numerous other sports on the spot․ It is the ideal choice for an active family of all all ages and also a great base to simply explore the beautiful coastal walks and scenic beaches or world-renowned surfing beaches․ There is a restaurant and a health spa too, all contributing to your relaxation opportunities. An extra special feature of this lodge is the children’s indoor play area equipped with games and toys․ Babies are well catered for with baby gates at the top and bottom of the staircase and 2 cots and 2 higchairs are available․ The interior decoration of this luxury spacious lodge has been designed by the artist/interior-designer owner and many of the walls display attractive artwork․ Quality furnishings have been chosen throughout the property. Come together in one of the two light and airy open-plan living spaces one upstairs, one downstairs․ Downstairs with a wood-burning stove sitting behind a child-safe fireguard, which will to keep you warm in the winter months, while the summer sun will lead you out onto the extended decking, wonderful for relaxing in the hot tub or sitting on the outdoor sofa watching the children play in the playhouse or perhaps while you cook on the bbq or play table-tennis. On the first floor beneath the impressive vaulted ceiling is a second sitting area and the play area․ The extensive view from the huge A-frame window is beautiful and an evening drink on the balcony watching the lakes sparkle as the light fades, is a must. The bedrooms are spread over both floors, with the ground floor having a bunk room which is ideal for children, but they are full size so can sleep two adults, there is also a single chair-bed which can be made into a 2’6” single bed․ Next to it is a super-king-size room which can be made into two singles or a super-king bed․ Head upstairs to find another bedroom featuring a super-king which can be two singles or a super king bed․ Next door is the fourth bedroom with a full sized single bed and a bed which can be either two singles or a super-king. There are three Villeroy and Boch shower rooms, two upstairs and the downstairs one has a bath too, which makes life very easy in the morning! Those who love the thrill of watersports can delight in the choice of paddle-boarding, wakeboarding on the wave-riding simulator, and having a go on the lake pontoon assault course, while those seeking a peaceful afternoon can enjoy a spot of fishing on the lake or a few rounds of golf, with the activities all subject to extra charges. The brilliant beaches at Newquay attract plenty of surfers with Fistral Beach being a particular favourite of the pros, while Porth Beach is perfect for a family day out to the beach with excellent water for bathing and large stretch of sand to play on. Enjoy walks on the South West Coast Path taking in the fantastic seascapes and exploring hidden coves and quaint coastal villages, with horse-riding and all sizes of bike hire available for an easy ride along the footpath beside the Wadebridge estuary. You can eat in the famous Rich Stein restaurant in picturesque harbour of Padstow or one of the many other Cornish restaurants․ Take the family to Camel Creek Adventure Park for lots of fun on the rides and in the animal petting areas, with a 5D cinema too! St Columb Major is a lovely market town resting amidst the lush Cornish countryside, around five miles from the coast. The town is home to shops and small supermarkets along with several pubs, with an historic church and the River Menalhyl running north of the town. Enjoy walks and bike rides along Cornish country lanes, or head to the beaches on the beautiful coastline, with the surfing centre of Newquay being popular for its excellent waves and wide range of amenities and attractions.
