The Gribbin Peninsula is a great place to go for a walk due to its stunning vistas and proximity to both Par and the gorgeous harbour of Fowey. The little cove at Polkerris, home to the Rashleigh Arms, is one of many locations around Par that have ties to Daphne du Maurier. The inn was named for a local landowner whose home the author often visited. Could do with a couple of home comforts like bedside lamps, cushions,a clock. Bed really comfortable and good pillows, could do with better quality bedlinen, Plenty of cookware but had seen better days, Brilliant shower. Overall good value for money.

There was no wifi and at my time of booking this was listed as being there. Its since been removed as a facility. There was no guest information book, no bedside lights or sofa cushions. It was however very clean and comfortable, it just didn't have any thoughtful extras. Bedside lights in particular would've been nice. I was happily surprised by a large fridge and freezer, so you can do a proper food shop on the way there. Shower was fab, great water pressure and lots of hot water. Tiny sauce pans so if you have 4 people probably best to bring a big pan. The lack of guest information meant that I didn't find the swimming pool passes until day 3 and had no way of knowing we were permitted to use it or how to sign in. It's a beautiful spot and clean and comfortable, if you are driving ( I arrived by train ) then just bring a bedside lamp and a few creature comforts. @the owner - a little bit of love and attention and a guest book would go a long way.
