With 1.3 acres of grounds to explore, a gym, a four poster bed and a leather sleigh bed, this property provides a perfect base for enjoying Cornwall. Relax with a glass of wine on the sun deck in the evening while overlooking the garden, or enjoy a meal together around the large, antique dining table, taking in the beams and character charm of the dining room, the perfect way to unwind after a busy day exploring. The property is walking distance to Polgooth Inn. Visit local beaches, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, The Eden Project, and Mevagissey, before returning to this cosy Polgooth holiday cottage. The village of Polgooth is now a quiet settlement on the outskirts of St. Austell, but has a history of tin mining. Frequented by visitors to the local countryside, this lovely settlement is located just three miles from the sea. The wider area also offers a wide variety of visitor attractions, including the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Tall Ships Harbour at Charlestown – all of which are within a 15 minute drive. The fishing harbour at Mevagissey is also nearby and allows visitors to take a passenger ferry across the bay to Fowey, just five miles away. Also within easy reach are the beautiful Roseland Peninsula villages of St. Mawes and St. Just-in-Roseland. With coastal walks, sandy beaches and beautiful towns, Polgooth is ideally placed for a fantastic family holiday.

8 adults and 4 children, there was plenty of room for us all. The pool and jacuzzi were a big hit and as we were blessed with amazing weather the children made good use of the garden at the front. Itâs a well stocked kitchen with plenty of cooking pots and pans, utensils, plates and cutlery. The quality of furnishings and bedding gave a luxury feel. A lovely welcome pack was waiting for us on arrival. Julia was a fantastic host and am already looking forward to when we can stay again.

A charming, welcoming, well equipped house, with a lovely garden, views over the surrounding countryside, tranquil setting (well located for walks, visits to local attractions, villages and beaches etc) with the bonus of pool, jacuzzi, games room and gym. We were made to feel very welcome by our hosts, Julia and David, who also provided some provisions, including delicious scones, on arrival. An excellent holiday, thank you.

Great hosts, all the extras are amazing (from scones/jam/cream/procecco to kitchen and bathroom products.)Exceptionally clean. Lots of room for 4 generations of my family. Pool, hot tub, gym and games room an amazing addition and all used as indoors. Perfect location for attractions. Will be booking again. Thank you.
