About this property

This five-bedroom, detached holiday home is located in the village of Summercourt in central Cornwall, idyllic for families or friends to come and enjoy themselves in the summer. It's got a garden with a hot tub so you can soak away all your troubles, and is bright and airy so you can enjoy the contemporary interior. It's also got a pet-friendly policy so you can bring your furry friends along too if you want to. Be greeted by off-road parking before entering into the porch area, which can be used to keep your pets, hand your wetsuits or store surf boards. The sitting room is a delightful space that is perfect for hanging out, furnished with a multi-games table, sofas, and a smart TV to keep you all entertained. Moving through the property, locate the kitchen/diner; here you can prepare home-cooked meals with the range cooker and enjoy mealtimes at the long table. A utility room offers a washing machine so after a day spent on the beach, you can freshen your clothes and dry them out in the garden. Make the most of the lawned garden on sunny days to dine alfresco and watch the sky grow dark from the hot tub. As day draws to night, retire inside and choose between five bedrooms, a double and a twin on the ground-floor and three doubles on the first-floor, two of which have en-suites. Soothe your muscles in the bathroom or take advantage of an en-suite shower room for a quick wash in the morning. When it comes to dining, Summercourt has some great options to suit all tastes. The London Inn is a great choice for a casual meal, while The Fox's Revenge is perfect for a romantic dinner. And, of course, there's always the option of a traditional pub lunch at the London Inn. Newquay is a seaside town in Cornwall that is known for its beaches and attractions such as the Newquay Zoo and the Blue Reef Aquarium. Porth Beach is a popular spot for swimming, surfing, and sunbathing, and the town has a variety of restaurants and pubs that offer local seafood specialties. Visit the city of Truro, home to the Royal Cornwall Museum, Truro Cathedral, or visit the Maritime Museum at Falmouth. Spend your days exploring the stunning natural scenery, then relax with a glass of wine from the vineyard in the evening. For a splendid getaway to Cornwall, secure a stay at Pen-Y-Thon House.

The settlement of Summercourt is located in the magnificent and popular county of Cornwall, midway between Newquay and St Austell. It is close to the A30 crossroads, giving you convenient access to both of these coastal towns. Summercourt Fair, Cornwall's oldest fair, has been running for almost 800 years and today features a major funfair and product market. The community has two pubs, as well as a local store and post office. Take the A30 to Newquay, a bustling coastal town with a wonderful beach that is popular with surfers, where you can find local craft stores and independent companies as well as traditional Cornwall tourist attractions.

Pots and pans could do with some replacing,we couldn't use 1 frying pan as it was rusty inside. Could do with a couple more big saucepans. The house is lovely and comfortable but it's damp, all our clothes felt damp come the end of the week, there was mould on the net curtain in the downstairs bedroom. Apart from these few things we had a lovely holiday and would definitely recommend. Asked for the hot tub to be cleaned as there were alot of us using it and a man was there early the next day(thankyou so much). The beds were really comfortable. The multi table was great, could probably do with a tumble dryer as we had rain during the week and struggled to dry towels from being in the hot tub. And the bath towels. The area was lovely and didn't really notice the A30 which was quite close. The garden was great and secure.

The property was really nice, very clean. Pictures are exactly what you get. Gaming table was a hit with all the kids. Even though the house is situated by the A30, you cant really hear much noise and everyone still got a good night sleep. Hot tub was lush and the owners were very helpful. All kids were in and out of it all the time so it needed a clean, one phonecall and someone was in to sort it out within 20 minutes! Considering the weather, we couldve done with a tumble dryer as well, but we managed. Overall, a really nice stay, would definately recommend.

We all especially enjoyed the multi-game table, especially on the wetter days. The kitchen equipment needs attention though please. There was only one large saucepan, which is not good for cooking meals for 10 people. There are no scissors. A couple of the glasses (1 wine and 1 pint) were broken when we arrived. But we managed, and had a great time. Thank you.
