This holiday home was a disappointing experience for us as a family with two children. The three good reviews above made us enthusiastic, so we booked.Unfortunately...The location (the town) was fantastic and the neighbor was very friendly and helpful! We paid a fortune for 10 days, but got a dirty house with very poor beds where you either slept crooked or woke up with muscle pain. Our daughter ended up sleeping on the couch because the double bed with its super-thin mattress was unsuitable for two people. There was no hot water from the tap, so we had to boil kettles of water for every dish. Kitchen utensils were dirty in the cupboard, and there were still food scraps in the corners of the couch. We left early because we craved a good night's sleep on comfortable beds. After contacting the owner, we felt we were being ripped off. Definitely not worth the money!

We enjoyed our stay at Spa Cottage, it had everything we needed for a comfortable holiday. The cottage is quirky complete with wonky floors and old world charm. Its been tastefully decorated with interesting touches scattered throughout. The location is perfect. It is extremely close to the port, shops and restaurants. The kitchen is well equipped and has everthing one needs for meal preparation. Complementary tea, coffee, cooking oil and sundry items were very welcome. The water presure in the shower is good and we appreciated having a washing machine and drying rack. We had an isue with the hot water that was resolved and compensation given for the inconvenience. The host was very reponsive and profesional. The cottage was clean and tidy and the homely touches made it a welcoming place. We enjoyed our 7-day stay. The rooms in the cottage are located over three floors. I would not recommend this cottage to anyone with mobility isues due to the narrow, steep stairs. However, the stairs wouldn't be an isue for others. We found the bed to be a little uncomfortable due to indentations in the mattres. The courtyard and pathway to the cottage were littered with stacks of cardboard, old crates and some building refuse and timber which detracted from its appeal. However, to be fair, it appearred that the mes belonged to other residents who shared the courtyard. Otherwise, everything else was fine.

We spent a week at the beautiful, cosy and perfectly located Spa Cottage in the heart of Mevagissey! We arrived by being welcomed to some lovely budding flowers and plants at the door and into the very equipped kitchen and dining area with sofa to be putting on your walking boots. We used the kitchen a few times for breakfasts and to enjoy fish & chips but you could certainly cook each meal of the day if you wished with everything you could want to cook. The living room is huge and spectacular with gorgeous sofas, foot rests and lamps & lighting. We took full advantage of the wood burning fire every night which really was the special treat to have whilst relaxing watching the huge TV. The bedroom had a lot of storage for us for the week and the upstairs toilet was a very handy and welcomed addition. Bed was very comfy and waking up to look out over the rooftops towards the harbour was a great start each morning. Main shower and bathroom was also very spacious with towels provided. We phoned our host just the once to ask for something and she was more than helpful to help us. Area is very quiet as is tucked away in the court. Would recommend staying anytime of year and could have stayed longer than the week we had!
