Spotlessly clean on arrival, lovely decor and finishing touches. Nice decked area at the back, great sun spot - not sure why there are no photos of this? Perfect for walking down to harbour with plenty choices for food and drinks. Great location for exploring the area. Missing a few touches: hairdryer, baking trays, potato peeler, pizza cutter and fridge disappointing - door shelf missing and very small freezer space made even smaller with build up of ice! Dishwasher a bonus. The only downside was the parking. We asked Sykes before booking if the kerb had been dropped since previous reviews mentioned this as an issue and they replied ‘yes’ it has a dropped kerb. On arrival we found it hasn’t and it was an issue bumping up and down each time we went in and out, especially as it is quite a busy road. The parking area is also very uneven. If the kerb was dropped and the drive improved we would definitely stay here again, but would not book with Sykes as we were misinformed and this affected our stay.

A few maintenance issues which could be addressed. Would recommend something in main bathroom to store shower accessories (little hooks & holder for shower gels) In bedrooms could provide hooks over doors. Fridge needs repairing or replacing as no shelf for milk and bottles. Frying pan and saucepans all need handles checked. Downstairs bathroom sink cannot fill due to no plug! Bench in front garden needs replacing as very rusty and unsafe we took our folding beach chairs so we used these when we wanted to sit out there. Such a shame this property has these minor issues as this could be a five star property.

The property ìs welĺ placed. Comfortable rooms. Kitchen well equipped. Qould just mention there is no dropped kerb to access the parking area. No hairdryer so bring your own. The bottom of door on fridge is broken so difficult for storage. Very helpful and kibd lady came to the rescue when I lost a key.
