Welcome to The Gables Guest House in St Austell, an award winning family run property with four comfortable guest rooms ideal for adults. Ideally situated for visiting the Eden Project or Lost Gardens of Heligan, we are set just a ten minute walk from the town centre and offer a good range of on site facilities at our cosy family home including car parking, Wi-Fi service and a conservatory lounge/ dining room. Guests can also enjoy relaxing in our private garden which is divided into three parts with a pond, rare sub-tropical, cottage and local flora and fauna.

Our accommodation includes the four poster 'Penwarne' ensuite room and we can provide bouquets of flowers for your room from an extra charge of £35 each. We also offer an ensuite double room - 'Lamorna' and a second double room with adjacent shower room, 'Trenance. Our final room, 'Poldark, can be presented as either a twin or king size double and has an adjacent shower room. All our guest rooms have digital TV, tea/ coffee making facilities and beds made up with Egyptian cotton linen. Please note that our four rooms are located upstairs via 13 steps on the staircase with a handrail.

Unless specified, rates include a delicious cooked breakfast which is made from local produce. Options include a full cooked breakfast, fish cakes, English pancakes or eggs on toast. We also serve cereals, porridge, yoghurt, smoothie fruit shots, toast plus a range of teas and coffee. For your convenience, plenty of level car parking is provided for guests and seating areas are provided in the garden - perfect for enjoying breakfast in warmer weather or relaxing with a tea or coffee. We also provide a covered seating area in the garden for smokers.

Directions to The Gables Guest House

From A30: At the roundabout at the Bodmin by-pass, turn left towards Bugle. Continue straight through the lights in Bugle village. Continue on this road going straight on at the roundabout in Stenalees, ignore any signs to the left for St Austell. Follow this road, to St Austell, you will come to a sharp right bend. Continue on this road. Go through 1st lot of traffic lights and continue straight, where you will find another set of traffic lights, turn right onto A3058 Newquay road. Then on the 1st main turning to your left, you will find us, visable via our sign.

From A390: Go towards Truro around St Austell town centre, going straight across several lights and roundabouts. At the end of the St Austell by-pass, turn right onto the A3058 Newquay road. Go through a set of traffic lights and up the road, a few yards, you turn to your left, where you will find us via our sign.
