About this property

The village of Treviscoe lies in the heart of the Cornish clay country, centrally between Newquay and St Austell, and The Barn is a lovely single storey barn conversion housed in the village. The Barn is a rural retreat for anyone looking for peace and quiet while exploring Cornwall, with a characterful yet contemporary design. The property's open-plan living space is guaranteed to be the social hub, with a plush corner sofa

positioned in front of a TV, DVD player and woodburning stove, ideal for movie evenings. The kitchen, is equipped with all of the necessities for a quick break, including an electric oven,

refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, and washing machine. The bedrooms, include a double and a single room with nice accents and hardwood furnishings, as well as a sleek shower room. The Barn's quality extends to the enclosed patio, which features a picnic bench where you can enjoy lunch in the sunshine, as well as a contemporary timber building housing a luxurious spa bath, ideal for relaxing after a day of touring. On a rainy day, take advantage of the outdoor games room, where you play table tennis or darts. It also has a lounge/TV area including a games console along with a large lawned area for relaxing. The surrounding countryside is great for walking and rambling, and the gorgeous coastline is not far away. In the village of St Stephen, grab a pub dinner or stock up on groceries for home cooking at the local convenience shops. There are many local attractions close-by which include the Eden Project and many botanical gardens. Newquay, Charlestown, Perranporth, St Ives, Bodmin Moor plus many other coastal towns are within easy reach for a fabulous day out. There are plenty of white sandy beaches to enjoy within a short drive. In summary, Treviscoe is based in central Cornwall and within easy reach of all of its fabulous attractions and beaches.

The tranquil community of St Dennis is nestled among the "Cornish Alps," so named because of the conical piles that dominate the landscape, to the north west of St Austell Bay. This area was originally a thriving china clay mining district, but it is now known for The Eden Project, which was erected in an abandoned china clay quarry. St Dennis village offers a decent assortment of stores, including a chemist and a butcher, and is a great place to start exploring Cornwall because it is located halfway between the north and south coastlines, with easy access to major roads. The Goss Moor path, which is only a short distance away, has seven miles of fantastic walking options. There is something for everyone within easy reach of St Dennis, from the craggy coast between Perranporth and Newquay in the north to the softer sandy bays surrounding St Austell in the south.

There are some in it to make money and then there are people like these owners who want to provide a fantastic service and these people do. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We had a brilliant holiday, the cottage is positioned within reach of all of Cornwall and a few minutes off the A30. We will be going back later in the year. Thoroughly recommended.

We had a great time here the barn was cosy and well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The log fire and jacuzzi bath were great. Steve and Tricia the owners were very helpful and lovely people to deal with. Highly Recommended!
