About this property

Sticker 2.7 miles. Sunny Corner is a charming cottage resting in Coombe, Cornwall, an unspoilt hamlet, mainly untouched for the past 100 years. A reminder of bygone times, the cottage was originally built for the people that tended the tin-mining stamps that operated nearby and is now a pleasant, family-friendly holiday home with all the home comforts you could need. Inside the cottage, you can find a wealth of features creating an inviting home, including living room air conditioning, a dedicated workspace, and a range of appliances such as an Amazon Echo Dot. The living/dining room is the perfect social space, home to plenty of seating and a dining space where you can plan your adventures. From here, the well-equipped kitchen means the chef of the group can cook up a storm, with a handy dishwasher to help with the cleaning up. Upstairs, find a double bedroom with a TV and a twin with a zip/link feature, giving you options for a flexible sleeping arrangement. Finishing off the interior is a sleek bathroom with both a bath and a walk-in shower where you can enjoy a relaxing soak or wake up with a quick shower. Outside, there are plenty of spaces to choose from; the rear and side provide seating for the warmer months, along with a barbecue and utensils for some alfresco dining, while the additional patio housing the Lay-Z spa means you can look forward to jumping in the bubbling waters after a day of walking. This peaceful hamlet has many quiet lanes and walks to explore in and around Coombe, as well as the local football field with swings, a slide, and a tennis court, and taking a short walk through the hamlet, you will come to a public dog exercise field. Some of the village’s mining heritage can be seen, such as the engine houses and smokestacks. The cottage’s convenient location means you have easy access to an abundance of Cornish attractions: The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Eden Project, or Cornish Birds of Prey, or you can simply enjoy birdsong from the patio with a cup of coffee or glass of wine in-hand. For beach lovers, make your way into Charlestown, or you can head further afield to the popular Newquay and North Coast. Whether you stay in and enjoy this delightful dwelling, or venture out to explore the area, Sunny Corner is the ideal choice for a break to Cornwall.

Sticker is a peaceful Cornish village with a shop/post office and award-winning pub, about 3 miles from St. Austell Bay and a short drive from The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Tall Ships Harbour at Charlestown, and The Eden Project. Mevagissey, with its ferry to Fowey, is six miles away, and the Roseland Peninsula with St. Mawes and St. Just-in-Roseland is not far. Enjoy a coastline walk and the vistas, or visit St. Austell and The Brewery, Cornwall's award-winning independent family brewer. Fantastic year-round.
