About this property

Perched on the outskirts of St. Breward, Cornwall, is this lovely two-bedroom, stone-built Grade II Listed cottage, Limehead Cottage. Enjoying a character-filled interior with exposed walls, and a fantastic location with easy access to Bodmin Moor and the famous Camel Trail, Limehead Cottage is a superb dog-friendly choice for couples or a family of four. Step into the well-equipped kitchen/diner, where you can prepare tasty home-cooked dishes, ready to savour at the dining table for four, or alfresco out in your own beautiful private garden, where your pooches can run and play. After dinner, kick-back and relax on the plush seating in the sitting room whilst watching your favourite show on the TV, as your canine companions snuggle up beside the woodburning stove. Completing the ground floor is a well-appointed super-king-size bedroom with plenty of storage and served by a cloakroom for your convenience. Continue up to the first floor, where you can look forward to indulgent soaks in the freestanding bath or quick freshen ups in the walk-in shower in the spacious family bathroom. On this floor, you will find the second bedroom, a well-presented double, which can be accessed via its own staircase. Within the village, you can treat your loved ones to a delicious meal and local ales at the welcoming Old Inn & Restaurant and stock up on essentials at the convenience store, there is also a church, two playgrounds and footpath leading onto a picturesque circular walk. Keen cyclists will delight at the close proximity of the renowned Camel Trail which spans for 11.25-miles all the way to Padstow. The Bodmin Moor is right on your doorstep, where you can embark on a plethora of hiking trails, visit the stunning Golitha Falls and meet the Moor View Alpacas. Stop off in Bodmin to tour Bodmin Jail, Bodmin Keep and the nearby National Trust – Lanhydrock, or continue onto Padstow, where you will find the National Lobster Hatchery, Prideaux Place, Padstow Museum and fishing trips onto the River Camel. Those seeking more adventures out on the water can easily access the popular Cornish surfing beaches of Polzeath within 13.3 miles and Trebarwith Strand within 9.1 miles, where you can try your hand at watersports or bathe on the golden sands. For your next Cornish adventure, choose Limehead Cottage.

St Breward is a little community around 7 miles from Bodmin in Cornwall, surrounded by scenic scenery. There is a general store, a community centre, a church, two playgrounds, and a bar in the town to meet your needs throughout your visit. It's possible to make a pleasant loop in the hamlet by walking around the holy well, the church, and the bridge over the River Camel on a walkway. The Camel Trail, a popular route for hikers and cyclists, passes through Wadebridge on its way to the coast at Padstow and is located close by. The old Bodmin Jail, on the outskirts of town, is now a museum with a frightening presence; it was constructed in 1840 using granite quarried from this very site. Bodmin Moor, with its wide open expanses and windswept grandeur, is not far away, and neither are the Eden Project (11 miles), Falmouth's National Maritime Museum (30 miles), or the picturesque harbour town of Padstow (16 miles), home to several excellent eateries. There is a wide variety of eateries and country pubs to choose from in the neighbourhood.
