About this property

Portreath 1.1 miles. Just a mile away from the sandy beaches of Portreath is this cheerful, yellow cottage, enjoying an enclosed patio garden and traditional style layout. Orchard Leigh Cottage is the perfect choice for a family or four or a couple, seeking a homely base to settle in when you're not exploring the north coast of Cornwall and beyond. Walk into the hub of the cottage to find the kitchen/diner, eat breakfast in the morning sat at the quirky leather studded chairs, with a feast to delight in cooked up on the impressive Rangemaster oven and hob. Continuing into the hallway under the low threshold, discover the gleaming shower room along the way, before coming into the snug sitting room, where a large flat screen TV set up on the wall can offer a wealth of entertainment in the evenings. Settle on the plush seating beneath the quaint, low ceiling and feel relaxed as you recline back and unwind. Make use of the lovely, enclosed and private courtyard outside; sit at the picnic bench for some alfresco dining at lunch in between activities, while your dog stretches their legs in the sunshine. Up the steep staircase you can discover a charming children's bunk room as well as a king-size bedroom, served by another shower room up here too. Great opportunities for cyclists are all around, store your bikes in the lockable courtyard, and take them out along The Mineral Tramway Trail cycle path just a stone's throw away, taking you along to Porthreath or up through the Tehidy Country Park. The largest area of woodland in West Cornwall can be found in Tehidy Country Park and it makes for a fabulous day out exploring the natural beauty of the area, as well as there being ample picnic areas for a pit-stop. The gorgeous soft, fine sands of Portreath provide the perfect place to enjoy a beach day, popular for surfers because of the waves that break off the harbour wall known as the 'vortex', it's also lovely for paddling and swimming, with dogs welcome from October to Easter. Welcoming your canine companions all-year-round is the idyllic Porthmeor Beach in St Ives, a town full of culture and arts, along with the traditional Cornish aspect with cobbled, winding streets and a fabulous array of eateries from pasty shops, fish and chip shops, and fine dining. Make excellent memories in Orchard Leigh Cottage in Cornwall with your loved ones.

Portreath is a charming harbour village resting on the north coast of Cornwall, a bustling settlement just next door to the Godrevy Heritage Coast.
