This traditional stone-built cottage is less than half a mile from the beach, and resides in a peaceful location on the outskirts of the village. Inside it offers guests a lovely sitting room complete with a wood-burning stove, as well as three spacious bedrooms, an amply equipped kitchen and a family bathroom. To the front of the property is parking for three cars and to the back is a spacious private garden. On the ground floor, the contemporary open plan sitting room is bright and airy and boasts original features like a chunky stone lintel above the inglenook and exposed roof beams.

Providing plenty of bright and comfortable space to unwind in, there are two roomy sofas and a flat screen TV in the lounge while upstairs, three double bedrooms including a master with king size bed and a family room with a cot are ideal for groups with young children in tow. Adjacent to the living room, the large kitchen includes a range of appliances and cookware as well as a breakfast bar with seating, and outside in the enclosed private garden, a paved patio with a gas BBQ and a large table with six chairs provides the perfect spot for alfresco eating and entertaining.

With its soft fine sand and shingle shelf, Portreath Beach is ever-popular with families as well as water-sports enthusiasts, providing a host of activities such as surfing, kiteboarding and bodyboarding. Rock pools abound, creating wonderment and entertainment for both children and adults alike, and the harbour wall to the north of the beach exposes a tidal swimming pool for paddling about in. The surrounding cliffs offer stunning views of Godrevy Lighthouse and the pretty town of St Ives, while a trip to the quiet island of Godrevy treats visitors to a glimpse of its resident Grey Seal colony.
