We paid for one of the more expensive lodges only to be disappointed by the location of it. Every other lodge seemed to be completely private as it was separated from the others, had a roof over the hot tub and was easily accessible from it's designated car parking space. Ours (no. 16) had the decking with the hot tub attached to no. 15 so they would be able to see us if they looked through the fence. The hot tub had no cover so we weren't protected when the heavens opened one night. It was also up at the top of the park but our parking space was further away than anyone elses.The website does say a few steps when you book, only this didn't prepare us for a 3minute walk through the car park or the amount of steps you needed to take to reach it.The lodge itself was ok. When we arrived every evening however, it was excessively warm. The only way to cool the place down was to open all the doors and windows but the bedroom window opens to the path beside the walkway to other lodges. I think we were lucky that we didn't really see alot of other people so it did seem private. But in busy periods I think you would feel very overlooked.Slightly trivial but still worth mentioning, the TV remote in the bedroom didn't work and there was no hand soap in the bathroom. We understand supplies were limited during the pandemic but we thought handsoap is something of a necessity.We ended up making the best of our time there but we would say that it is very over-priced for what you get.

We stayed in mill lodge (no.15). It was one of the most peaceful locations I have stayed at. Waking up to views of woodland every morning was lovely felt like I was in Thailand some mornings when then sun was out. Lodge was lovely and clean and a good size. We was there for 8 nights in total not a lot of wardrobe space but didn’t bother me much we was to busy exploring then to unpack. We extended our break for an extra night as we didn’t want to leave and the staff were so helpful to make this happen for us. Even though you don’t see the staff much but they are there for any requests and very helpful. Privacy was not an issue at all, some reviews do mention it but that did not put us of and we just used the hot tub lid and leaned against the 2 decking chairs but again didn’t really need to do this. Prime location to the beach and also to St Michael mount which was a half hour drive but is a must to see. Definitely will be returning is a home from home :)

Loved it and really nice place as it’s out of the way from other cabins. Only thing I would say it’s a struggle to find if you arrive at night. Make sure you have a map at the ready and a form of light at the ready.You get you designated parking spot which is directly opposite reception and then you will have to walk up hill and then steps to your cabin. Not so much a criticism, just a heads up. Plenty of room in the kitchen, decent size fridge and even a dishwasher. Bedroom small but really nice with en-suite shower was great and plenty of room to store everything throughout the cabinLounge area is great, again, plenty of room and has a balcony with hot tub just feet away from the patio door.Hot tub was perfect, temperature was spot on and we had most of the sun on it during the day, great location for it. Would definitely recommend this particular cabin as it’s next to one other cabin but feels very out of the way and no- one will be walking past your cabin and feels very private.
