About this property

Built in 2010, Georges Cove is an elegant contemporary detached single storey bungalow in the seaside town of Perranporth on the north coast of Cornwall. A tastefully furnished property in a quiet residential area, yet close enough to the village, being roughly 600 metres just a few minutes’ walk away and the 3 miles of sandy beach, where the popular Watering Hole pub/eatery is located where you can watch the sun go down. In the village you will discover the variety of shops, pubs, restaurants and gardens/boating lake. Perranporth is perfect for a beach holiday and yet its central location in the county makes it ideal for exploring and touring the beautiful and varied coastlines, historic buildings and quaint villages. Also close by there is the opportunity to try out some water sporting activities, play golf or even just explore the various attractions of the area. Regular bus services operate from Perranporth to several villages and towns and attractions, which means you do not have to rely on your car to get about. Tennis courts are within a few minutes’ walk having both lawn and artificial surfacing. Perranporth golf club is approximately one mile, as the crow flies, from Georges Cove and there are several other courses within a fifteen mile radius. Boat trips, boat hire and sea fishing are available from several locations within a ten to twenty mile radius. Various water sporting activities are available some within the village or locally close by, ranging from surfing, water skiing, diving, sailing & more. Equipment available from centres providing the facility. And there are the scenic coastal paths to walk. The light an airy accommodation in Georges Cove is tastefully decorated and furnished with a pale coastal palette of colours. The modern and tasteful open plan design comprises a generous sized living/dining/kitchen, one bedroom with twin beds (these can be pushed together) with fitted double wardrobe and a shower room with WC and hand basin, making it ideal for a holiday for two. The front entrance patio doors lead out onto a hard surface patio area, with privacy screening, where there is a table and seating for the dedicated use of the occupiers of the accommodation. Parking, unrestricted on the highway, is available within the cul de sac outside of the main dwelling. Upon arrival you will be provided with clean bed linen, towels, bath mat and tea towels. Fresh towels will be provided mid week of your stay. In addition, if staying for more than one week then clean linen will also be provided weekly. A complimentary welcome pack will be provided for your arrival. You will also be provided with shower gel, toilet rolls, washing up liquid, kitchen towel and cling film etc. Cooking is electric, full size cooker and a separate microwave, under worktop fridge with small freezer compartment, toaster, kettle, iron, ironing board, hairdryer all provided. Regretfully, Georges Cove is not suitable for wheelchair users

Perranporth, a Cornish town in the heart of Poldark Country, the setting for the novels of Winston Graham who lived in Perranporth in the 1930s. Perranporth offers plenty of traditional pubs and shops, beach that is lifeguarded in summer and a coastal path. Once known as the source of the finest tin, the community still retains reminders of the rich heritage with abandoned pump houses, mine shafts and workers’ cottages. Further afield are Crantock and Holywell Bay, and the coastal walks around St Agnes, much of it owned by the National Trust.
