For the avid beachgoer, you can immerse yourself in the 3 mile long stretch of golden sands. For walkers, escape to the South West Coast Path and enjoy walks to the east towards Newquay and west towards Gwithian, Carbis Bay, and St Ives, look out for the occasional dolphin, seal or basking shark that call these waters home. There s plenty of eateries and pubs to visit from your doorstep after a day adventuring. Head to the surfing capital of Cornwall in Newquay (8.5 miles) for an array of beach choices and shops galore or try the cathedral city of Truro and discover its many independent boutique stores, just 9 miles away.
