The beautiful coastal town of Penzance lies nearby and houses the Penlee House Gallery and Museum, the Savoy Cinema Bar and Restaurant and the stunning harbour home to an array of bars and eateries with a waterfront view, there is also an outdoor lido where the kids can swim safely. The iconic Cornish town of Marazion is also easily accessible offering the opportunity to walk across, or take a boat, to St Michaels Mount home to a medieval castle boasting unique views of the mainland and across the channel as well as charming sub-tropical gardens. Make unforgettable memories at The Old Piggeries.

Gulval is a small Cornish town located in what was once the Penwith area. Gulval, like Heamoor, was formerly its own parish but was merged with that of Penzance, Madron, and Ludgvan in 1934, making it essentially a suburb of Penzance. However, Gulval has kept its old-world beauty, and the local church has features that date back to the 12th century. There is also the Coldstreamer Inn, rumoured to be one of the oldest in the country, and a granite drinking fountain from 1910 in the town square. All around the area that once served as the town square is a fascinating assortment of Victorian-era homes and cottages. You should definitely check out the historic district of Penzance, which is renowned for its profusion of palm trees and gardens full of sub-tropical vegetation. The surf beaches of Sennen Cove and Porthcurno are other popular tourist destinations. The Minack Theatre, St. Michael's Mount, Poldark Country, Mousehile, etc., are also excellent options for fun day trips.

Lovely touch by the owner and a big thanks for the scones, cream, jam, biscuits and milk on arrival. Nice quiet area and perfect for families. The only negative comment would be the rear bedroom cupboards are very damp and equipment left by owner such as baby high chair & ironing board etc. were all covered in mould and I would not recommend hanging any clothes in this cupboard.

It was extremely clean and literally everything you could ask for. The master bed was sooo comfortable ( if the owners see this please tell me the brand of mattress) the grounds are very well kept although we didn’t use Kenegie facilities as we had amazing adventures around the local national trust places. Can’t wait to come back again, soon hopefully! Thank you
