The Sparrows is nestled in a very rural spot. It's absolutely idyllic, very quiet and peaceful. At night there are dark skies to marvel. There's birds singing and a view across to the sea. It's truly a tranquil spot. We sat in the garden to read and ate meals on the patio. However if you're prone to getting bitten by bugs take some repellent! The owners provided a lovely cream tea welcome pack and came to say hello on our first evening. The bungalow itself is quite dated and could do with a bit of a deep clean. Lots of cobwebs hanging around the ceilings! But bathrooms were quite clean and shower really powerful. Bed was very comfy. The sofas were uncomfortable and unpleasant to sit on. TV was ok but not a smart TV. Internet connection very good! Kitchen was very well appointed and really good oven and dishwasher. However the fridge was terrible and didn't get cold!! Our milk went off! Freezer great though. Found the fact some of the windows were not able to open quite annoying in the heat. The cottage says access to Coastal path is near but sadly we found many footpaths inaccessible and overgrown and had to use the road to gain access. This was a bit disappointing. Overall we felt it was a little over priced but really loved the tranquillity it offered. We probably will not

We enjoyed a very relaxing week at Sparrows. The location is good, the cottage was clean and comfortable with everything we needed, and Bob and Jenny are lovely hosts. An ideal base for walking and wildlife watching with easy access to local beaches, art galleries and gardens. We can highly recommend.
