About this property

Penzance 3.9 miles. Nestled within the idyllic village of Newmill, close to Penzance, Cornwall, is this delightful, single-storey Shepherd’s Hut with wood fired hot tub, relax and gaze at the stars. Enveloped by open countryside with access to over nine acres and just 5 miles from the beach, Bosulla Shepherd’s Hut is an excellent escape for a couple looking to spend some quality time in Cornwall. After making use of the ample off-road parking, head inside and become familiar with the interior, housing a surprisingly amply-equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob and fridge with ice box, ensuring you can rustle up light meals. Get the wood burning stove going as you sit down to enjoy a romantic dinner with your loved one, before freshening up in the shower room. As the night grows dark, wrap yourself under the duvet in the king-size bed. To the outside of this little abode is a garden area with a wood fired hot tub, a lovely addition to aid your relaxation. When you’re ready to explore, head into Penzance and discover the delights of this coastal town, including a range of independent shops selling gifts to take home, inviting cafés and restaurants for refuelling, a bustling harbour and attractions such as the Penlee House Gallery and Museum, head to the outdoor Jubilee Pool for a swim or take in the sights at 16th-century Trengwainton Garden. Head to Marazion for an abudance of wildlife, including the RSPB Marazion March, or venture to the fascinating town of St Ives, a must-visit location for those with a taste of arts and crafts, with the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden and the modern art museum of Tate St Ives. However you choose to spend your time, a break at Shepherd’s Hut offers

Penzance hosts Golowan, the Midsummer Carnival, and The Literary Festival. There are also The Exchange, Newlyn and Penlee Art Galleries. One of Cornwall’s most popular holiday areas is the spectacular sweep of Mount’s Bay, from the cliffside fishing village of Mousehole through Penzance and around to beautiful Marazion, the coastline hides a wealth of sandy beaches, rocky coves as well as winding village streets and other places to visit and explore. Connected by a causeway to the shore at Marazion is the National Trust’s stunningly beautiful St Michael’s Mount with its hilltop castle and Mediterranean gardens. Walk across at low water and take one of the ferry boats back when the tide is up. Penzance with its winding streets, shops, clubs, restaurants and harbour is a must as it is the jumping-off point for day trips to the Isles of Scilly as well as being the harbor. The South West Coast Path passing through Penzance winds its way along the clifftops towards Land’s End. On the way, stop off for a coffee and a rest at beautiful Lamorna Cove, explore the open air Minack Theatre and marvel at the cliffs as you approach Gwennap Head. A stunning walk for those seeking solitude, exercise and some of the UK’s best coastal scenery. Penzance is the perfect holiday base. Ideally placed for exploring this land of Celtic myth and legend and with enough to do and see in the immediate area to keep all the family occupied.

The bed was comfortable and made it very cosy for the new year.

The one thing I would say is the stones walking up to the hut can be slippery and uneven, so be careful. The other thing is signage could be better from the road. Otherwise beautiful location and certainly very peaceful

Quite remote but just what we wanted. Definitely will be booking to stay again.
