All this from visitors’ own 270-degree living room (40ft across) designed in the round with seven sets of sliding patio doors leading out onto a huge decked terrace. This house is in the most stunning location nestling high on the headland at Mayon Cliff surrounded by National Trust land and the dramatic coastline towards Land’s End. Shark Fin is the ultimate architect-designed house with all the very latest hi-tech eco features. Use of the natural environment has been paramount to harness the earth’s energy. A heat pump with two 80-metre boreholes provides zoned underfloor heating to all rooms, solar panels discreetly incorporated into the rear roof slopes provide energy for hot water and photovoltaic panels for electricity generation. Sennen Cove boasts one of the loveliest stretches of sand in Cornwall and still retains much of the original atmosphere of a fishing village with its own life boat stations. A very popular spot for surfers and for families with children. This property is ideal for friends or families looking to walk or relax and watch the sun set over the ocean. On the beach there is a lovely restaurant, a café and a local village pub ‘The Old Success’. Also two other cafes, tea rooms and local shops are a short walk down the cliff from the property. Visit the nearby Minack Theatre with its open air amphitheatre cut into the cliff looking across the ocean. It is a short air trip from Land’s End airport to the Isles of Scilly.

There are drops in the garden.

This is a fantastic property in an amazing location & perfect for our special anniversary holiday.I have only given 3 stars for comfort & equipment as the basics were sadly very poor. Feature lights in dining room & bathroom didn’t work, the jacuzzi bath wouldn’t work due to very corroded batteries, cheap toilet rolls with no spares provided, no spare bin bags. These issues were annoying considering the cost. However, like others before us, we would happily stay here again as the positives hugely outweigh the negatives!

This is a beautifully designed house in a stunning location. The views are incredible. It is in need of a deep clean to remove mould in the showers and bsthroom and hall floor needs cleaning. The kitchen is really well equipped but the furniture is uncomfortable. The table is bulky and the chairs cause lots of trips and are heavy to position when eating. The furniture facing the view has flat cushions, which need a clean. This is a very expensive property which now needs some internal attention to justify the price.

We had a lovely time at Shark Fin, excellent location. There is lots to do in area and views from property were fabulous. The only downfall was there was a lot of old dust and cobwebs, walked into one in cloakroom and the window had a really big old web on it. Admittedly the ones in the lounge are very high up so would need a ladder to clean or long stick, these were really visible. Also shower screen in upstairs bedroom is out of wall fixing making the sliding door hard to open fully. considering price we were all disappointed in welcome pack which consisted of bunch of flowers, pk biscuits and 1pt milk.Apart from this we had fabulous time and would stay there again despite these minor issues.
