About this property

Centrally positioned in the traditional fishing village of Newlyn in Cornwall, is this lovely two-bedroom property Pandora Cottage. Just a stone's throw away from everyday amenities and the beach, whilst featuring a homely sitting room, an open-plan kitchen/diner, enclosed courtyards, and two homely double bedrooms, the cottage welcomes four guests and one well-behaved dog, perfect for a family retreat. Prepare your meals in the well-equipped kitchen, whilst dining around the bench-style four-seater table, before heading into the sitting room for a relaxing night in, in front of the TV. At dusk, retire upstairs to two plush bedrooms, both with ample storage and within proximity to the sleek bathroom, where you can either opt for a morning refresh, or an evening soak after a day of exploration. As the sun rises, enjoy your morning coffee in the rear courtyard, flooded with natural light, ahead of starting your itinerary in Cornwall. Close by you'll find the centre of Newlyn, where you can enjoy a seafood lunch at Argoe, a coffee at Duke Street Cafe, before touring the local harbour and purchasing the essentials at a local convenience store. Paces away from one of the best pubs in Cornwall The Tolcarne, where you can enjoy delicious food, and the very popular restaurant Mackerel Sky is also very close to the cottage. Penzance is a short journey away by car but is also easily accessible on foot and is set upon the shoreline, perfect for a stroll across the promenade before reaching Penzance Harbour Lighthouse, whilst Penlee House Gallery and Museum is the ideal setting for art and cultural buffs, covering the heritage of Cornwall. Travelling towards St Ives, Carbis Bay Beach is a must if you enjoy sunbathing, enveloped by turquoise waters, whilst Man’s Head is a popular walking trail for those who appreciate the shoreline on foot, or maybe head indoors to tour the Tate St Ives, home to an array of modern British art. On your return to 26 Florence Place, stop off at Trewidden Garden, set over 15 acres of exotic plants and colourful blooms, Drift Reservoir, a stunning viewpoint across 65 acres long, or Newlyn Harbour and view of St Thomas Island, where you can sit back and watch the bustling harbour tick by. Book a fabulous stay in Cornwall at Pandora Cottage

Although it is still a charming town in its own right, and is tucked next to Penzance, Newlyn is the third-largest fishing port in England and a crucial Port of Refuge for all seagoing vessels. This Cornish village is centred around the harbour, with its ancient 800-year-old quay—from which, and not Plymouth, the Mayflower set sail for America—curving around a few tiny craft on the western side. The flat Mousehole to Marazion bike path and the Cornwall Coastal Path both pass through the town, which is known for the Newlyn School of Art and Newlyn Copper. Both offer a wealth of natural beauty and fauna, including frequent sightings of grey seals, dolphins, and basking sharks. Penwith has some beautiful beaches where you may surf and go sea bass fishing. The Cornish coast is known for its surfing. In addition to giving tourists a chance to relax and unwind in lovely surroundings, Mounts Bay also provides a multitude of opportunities for water sports enthusiasts.

). Very comfortable and clean. Parking nearby was easy, it really is one minutes walk! Such a nice thought to provide milk and tea to welcome us, looking at booking again next year.

The kitchen is fitted with modern appliances and has a small, private courtyard with a table and chairs. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable - both with TV. The lounge has plenty of space and is furnished with very good quality sofas and accessories. I would recommend the property - loved it.

Newlyn is really happening with food etc. We didn't have a car but parking may be an issue in peak time.
