Having holidayed in Pendeen for over 20 years we have seen many changes to the area. With the closing of the 2nd of 3 local pubs, the chip shop the cafe and the buses to St Ives the village needs to hold onto what it has left otherwise it will lose its attraction...unless you just like walking. The cottage itself was clean and well equipped with all the nice appliances. The upside down style makes full advantage of the view and light. The living quaters were very nice and the outside area was a bonus.Did struggle to sleep, maybe we're used to our own comfy beds at home.Places to visit we'd recommend are Geevor Tin Mine plus the cafe serves excellent food. The Queens at Bottallack is a very nice pub with excellent food.Bus stop at the bottom of the road to Penzance and St Just but to St Ives took just under 2 hours 🤨.If you like your sport there is a football club with a club house. Open certain hours. The Cottage is on the edge of the village which is easy to get in and out of but a bit of a walk to any amenities.Overall another good stay in a village we enjoy staying in and meeting up with old resident friends.
