From the doorstep of the cottage, you are within walking distance of a selection of shops, a convenience store, a pub and café, as well as Crantock Beach, offering a great sandy expanse and excellent opportunities for surfing. Walkers will be delighted by the access to the South West Coast Path, passing in both directions, where you can choose to head south towards the St Agnes Heritage Coast whilst heading north will take you to Newquay. Newquay is filled with attractions to suit all ages and tastes, including Newquay Zoo, Blue Reef Aquarium and three spectacular beaches, promising great rolling surf all year around. Other attractions within the area includes Carnewas at Bedruthan Steps, Trevose Headland nature reserve and the 19th century scenic Trevose Head Lighthouse; alternatively, head slightly further afield to the cathedral city of Truro or take a boat trip to the harbour town of Falmouth. Crantock is a coastal village resting within Cornwall, just 4.5 miles away from the exciting town of Newquay, making a great spot for escaping the crowds, yet still be close to the action. Within the village you will find a host of amenities, making a great base for touring the surrounding countryside, as well as the coastline with the famous South Wet Coastal Path, boasting dramatic cliff tops, or magnificent surfing on beaches stretching from Watergate Bay in the North to Fistral beach.
