Roger is a lovely host but unfortunately the cottage was disappointing for us. The cottage is tired and needs a good lick of paint. The electric shower took some time to work out and some days the toilet didn’t flush. Little touches like a small welcome pack or milk on arrival and perhaps a radio would be nice. The cottage is close to the beach but beware it’s a very hilly and steep area. We are very fit but found the walk back challenging on hot days. Buses can be caught easily down by the small shops area to Padstow or Newquay. If you just want a base for the week it’s ok but if you want luxury this wouldn’t be the cottage for you.

Had a great stay at The Jam Store. The owner Roger was very welcoming. It is in a beautiful spot and the beach is amazing. Great places to eat within walking distance.

I think this was the 5th time we have stayed at The Jam Store. We love it there.
