Quay House is part of the Seashore development, a luxury conversion of a large Victorian house. This exclusive location has its own steps down to the beach as well as two allocated parking spaces. There are two steps up to the front door as well as a ramp.
A welcome pack including tea, coffee and a bottle of wine is provided for guests on arrival.
Newquay town centre and harbour is a 15 to 20 minute walk along the scenic coastal path from Porth Beach.

This property is a little gem. The location is superb; who does not want a beach on their doorstep? Gwenna's teashop down the drive has the most wonderful food and so does the little hole in the wall cafe on the beach, open all the time in the summer but only at the weekends out of season. The driveway to the property is very angular and can be tight for vehicles wider than the average estate if others do not park as close to the wall as they could but once outside Quay House, there is more than ample parking.At first blush the property was lovely and spacious, spread over three floors but the cleaning left a lot to be desired with clearly longstanding cobwebs and dust and hairs in a towel and in the utensil drawer and items left from previous occupants in the cupboards under the sinks. There are 3 bathrooms and a downstairs toilet in the laundry room. The washing machine worked but not the integrated dryer and there was no hairdryer which was not a deal breaker. There were no instructions for the washer dryer or the Nest heating device.The bathroom on the first and second floors were of a good size but you cannot dry yourself in the ensuite to the master bedroom unless you are are of very, very slim proportions given that there is less than a foot between the sink and the wall and the shower door.The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, albeit that cleanliness was an issue as noted above. We enjoyed our 2 weeks there and there is a lot to do and plenty of walks for all abilities, if you are not minded to stay on the beach, but the cleanliness needs to be sorted out. If it was, we would return in a heartbeat for a peaceful and relaxing break
