About this property

Having undergone a complete renovation in May 2022 those lucky enough to book are bound to be delighted by this stylish contemporary coastal retreat that sits atop the cliff overlooking the sea at fabulous Mawgan Porth. Just a 10 minute walk from the beautiful sandy beach, perfect for surfing, or maybe grab a coffee or lunch in one of the cafes or restaurants that sit next to the beach. 5 miles from Newquay, Cornwall's surfing capital and just a 20 minute drive to Padstow. The famous Bedruthan Hotel on the doorstep makes Pepperpots a fine choice for a beach holiday any time of the year. With a fabulous open plan design the kitchen opens into the dining area with its patio doors to a south facing patio. Relax in the main living room with a glass of wine at the end of a busy day or wander out through the patio doors onto the multi level terrace with sea views with fabulous hot tub and outside dining area. Two loungers are perfect for soaking up the summer sun. The newly fitted kitchen is well equipped, off which you'll find a useful utility room. A large, separate TV room with DVD player allows the family to spread out and enjoy freedom of space. Two ground floor bedrooms, a king size room with sea views and twin share a sparkling new shower room. Stairs leads to two further spacious bedrooms, a king size room with sea view and French doors that lead onto the first floor balcony with its fabulous seating area in which to watch the sunset over the beach. The twin room has views over countryside. These share a smart bathroom, with a bath with shower over. Outside the main garden with hot tub, deck and dining space for alfresco dining. The rear patio has a useful drying area for wetsuits and provides storing for beach equipment. Mawgan Porth lies between Watergate Bay and Padstow, a lesser known cove than the busy beaches in Newquay. It sits in an area of outstanding natural beauty and its sheltered beach is flanked by tall granite cliffs. The famous South West Coastal Path can be picked up at the beach. As with all the beaches in the area it's popular for its Atlantic rollers and ranked high among Cornwall's top surfing destinations. There is professional surfing tuition and hire available on the beach for all ages with RNLI lifeguards in operation during the main season. The beach is also dog friendly year round. For days out, head up the coast to the pretty harbour town of Padstow or into the vibrant resort of Newquay where there are a whole host of activities on offer should you encounter a rainy day. Whatever the time of year, a stay at Pepperpots is sure be a happy one. Sorry, no stags, hens and end of school / university parties are not allowed. Pets not allowed upstairs or on any furniture.

Nestled between Newquay and Padstow on the beautiful north Cornish coast, Mawgan Porth is a sheltered cove with golden sandy beach, great surf and plenty of caves and coastal footpath to explore. With little distraction from its golden sands, life here revolves around the beach. Laze in the summer sun, learn to ride the waves, or watch over stormy seas on a refreshing cliff top stroll. Mawgan Porth is also home to the fabulous adults-only Scarlet Hotel, which offers Spa treatments and facilities to non-residents - and nearby there is a wealth of fine dining restaurants such as Paul Ainsworth's No 6 and Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant. Mawgan Porth has a handful of shops, including a village store and deli, and a farm shop selling locally sourced meat, eggs, vegetables, bread and pasties, as well as tennis courts, a pitch and putt, and an 18-hole golf course overlooking the Atlantic.
