About this property

Newquay 1.8 miles. Tucked away in the hamlet of Porth near Newquay in Cornwall, is this wonderful ground-floor apartment, Flat 2. Boasting fabulous sea views and a delightful coastal position adjacent to Whipsiderry Beach and the South West Coast Path, Flat 2 is an ideal dwelling for couples or a family of four embarking on their next adventure to Cornwall. Be welcomed into the open-plan living space, where you can look forward to whipping up flavourful meals in the well-equipped kitchen, featuring a handy washing machine, ready to enjoy at the dining table for five or alfresco out on the front patio as you soak up the sea views. As the evening cools, retreat inside where you can snuggle up on the generous corner sofa and select a family favourite from the TV as the evening’s entertainment. Pour in the bubbles and indulge in a blissful soak in the bath or wash off sandy toes with a hot shower, before wrapping yourself in a toasty towel, courtesy of the heated towel rail. When it’s time for bed, choose from two well-appointed double bedrooms, one of which enjoys its own TV and en-suite shower room, whilst both offer plenty of storage for your belongings. Explore your local surroundings, where right on your doorstep the keen walkers in your party can join onto the renowned South West Coast Path, famed for its stunning scenery, or if that isn’t your thing, head down the long steep set of stairs to Whipsiderry Beach, popular with the local surfers and enjoying golden sands. The family-friendly beach of Porth is just a short walk away, where you can bathe, explore rockpools or try your hand at surfing in the clear waters. After a fun-filled day at the beach, make a stop at The Mermaid Inn offering a tasty menu of meats, burgers and fresh seafood, or the Estrella Morada for delicious tapas. Continue on into the vibrant town of Newquay, where you will find the attractions and amenities of Newquay Zoo, Trenance Gardens, Newquay Golf Club, Blue Reef Aquarium and a plethora of pubs, bars and restaurants, serving everything from Australian to Turkish fare. Make the drive over to the breath-taking Holywell Bay, where you can laze on the beautiful sands, or visit the Holywell Bay School of Surf to learn the locals favourite watersports. There is also an excellent golf club for those looking to test out their swing and the welcoming Treguth Inn. Escape to Cornwall with a stay at Flat 2.

The National Surf Centre and a never-ending supply of rolling surf make Newquay a watersports paradise and the centre of the UK's surf scene.

The town, with its zoo, sea life centre, and several restaurants and pubs, guarantees a memorable vacation. You may stroll in either way along an incredible coastline of high cliffs, secluded bays, and yet more beaches on the South West Coast Path. It takes just 14 miles to get to Padstow, a charming fishing village, and 30 minutes to get to Truro, a historic city with museums, cathedrals, restaurants, and cobblestone streets, as well as the Eden Project. St Ives and the Tate St Ives gallery may be reached in less than an hour by car or train. Newquay is an ideal starting point for exploring the rest of Cornwall because nothing is far away.
