You are within walking distance of a selection of shops, a convenience store, a pub and café, while Crantock Beach is less than a mile away, at the mouth of the Gannel estuary, offering a lovely sandy expanse, backed by sand dunes and excellent surfing conditions. From here, you can access the South West Coast Path in both directions along the north Cornwall coast; head south towards the St Agnes Heritage Coast and discover Perranporth's 3-mile stretch of glorious sandy beach that is popular with surfers, as well as Cligga Head mine, St Agnes Head observatory and the National Trust's Chapel Porth nature reserve, while a venture north encorporates the popular surfing resort of Newquay, with three spectacular beaches, an idyllic harbour, a zoo and an aquarium, as well as the Trevose Head Heritage Coast, with attractions such as Carnewas at Bedruthan Steps, Trevose Headland nature reserve and the 19th century scenic Trevose Head Lighthouse.

The cathedral city of Truro is a short drive away, offering excellent shopping and dining opportunities, as well as strolls along its river, boat trips to the harbour town of Falmouth and access to the picturesque Boscawen Park, the National Trust's incredible Trelissick Garden estate. Crantock is a small Cornish village, close to the popular resort of Newquay, surrounded by stunning countryside and a short distance from the coast, where you can enjoy superb walks along the coastal path over dramatic cliff-tops, or magnificent surfing on the Atlantic waves of North Cornwall's beaches. There are a number of golf courses in the area, as well as National Trust properties, traditional pubs and restaurants.
