It’s open plan living and dining space lends itself to spending quality time with someone special. If you don’t fancy venturing out, you’ll find everything you need for a cosy night in, including the all-important inbuilt wine cooler, a saviour at the end of a long day at the beach.
Conveniently located between Padstow and Newquay, Watergate Bay has everything that you could need for an amazing beach experience. With a variety of extreme sports, including surfing, mountain boarding, kitesurfing, traction kiting and wave skiing are just some of the adrenaline fuelled activities available from The Extreme Sports Academy, located right on the beach.
Within minutes of leaving 9 The Whitehouse you can be in one of the best surfing spots in Cornwall, offering the most beautiful of North Cornwall’s seascapes. Some nearby sights include, The Eden Project near St Austell, and for natural wonders there are the Bedruthan Steps, Gurnards Head and Kynance Cove.

Wonderful location, being so close to an amazing beach. The apartment location is set in a beautiful complex. Apartment was clean and tidy upon entering, with a generous and lovely welcome pack, which was very thoughtful. We had a fantastic five nights here and it is an absolutely great place to base yourself from to explore the area and if you love beach life then Watergate bay is very special. The apartment complex is private and secure and has beat access on its own private pathway towards the beach area. Just a few minor issues, the apartment itself is looking a little tired in places and badly needs some basic maintenance to freshen it up, such as broken blinds, chipped plaster work in the bathroom, shower head isn’t great, washing machine cupboard door needs fixing. The current photos aren’t reflective of the current furnishings and it was incredibly warm ! In summer I can imagine this would be an issue for some people. Also on the last day the cleaner turned up and at 9am and stated that we should be out by that time, although the booking reference stated, vacate by 10am. This would need to be checked with the booking agent as we felt rushed and a 9am exit isn’t appropriate. That said we would go back, it is great value for money overall and a special location which is just phenomenal.

Great place and appartment is lovely. The hallway on our floor was very hot.In the handbook in the appartment it says for gate and main door code, enter 0 and then 1326, but email instructions only say enter code: 01326. So we did have trouble with code on first day. Otherwise, a perfect stay.

We stayed at no 9 for a week in September. Lovely clean, and comfortable apartment. Everywhere was spotless.Thankfully it was not as hot as this summer has been, you really do need fans in the lounge/bedroom. The blinds need repairing so they stay up, to let some breeze get in. Outside lights did not come on untill after dark. You will need a torch
