Guests say

Guests generally find 4 Stonerush Valley a peaceful and relaxing retreat, with its secluded hot tub and modern amenities such as a freestanding bath and wood burner adding to the romantic atmosphere. The surrounding nature and on-site restaurant enhance the experience, although some guests noted areas for improvement in maintenance and cleanliness.

While many guests found the lodge clean and tidy, there were several mentions of dust, unemptied bins, and mould, suggesting room for improvement in cleanliness standards.

The lodge's location is highly praised for its tranquillity, natural beauty, and privacy, with the sound of a stream and local wildlife adding to the serene experience.

The lodge is often described as cosy and comfortable, particularly the bed and living areas. However, some guests mentioned issues with the mattress and a desire for more mirrors near power sockets.

Facilities like the hot tub, wood burner, and modern kitchen are well-received, but reports of maintenance issues such as broken appliances and the need for TLC lower the score.

There are no specific mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the property owner, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Could not fault anything. Must be the best place we have ever stayed. The only down was the restaurant was closed temporarily when we were there so we couldn’t sample it. But never mind, we went to the Jubilee Inn at Pelynt for our evening meals. Great eatery. Tried Jamaica Inn further afield, food was awful for the price so would not recommend! This place has a lovely, serene atmosphere, and the Christmas tree was a lovely surprise. Thank you Stonerush Lakes. Hoping to come in May next year for another short break.

Set back in the trees, very private and peaceful. The wood burner added a cosy touch and the hot tub, checked daily, was lovely. The staff at the restaurant were friendly and the food delicious, we will be back! The only very small thing I can think of to add would be a mirror in the bathroom.

There were so many amenities not listed that you had (the washing machine, iron, freezer, wifi - etc) we were very impressed. We felt the bed was a little uncomfortable and could do with a memory foam matress topper or similar as we could feel the springs in it. The only other thing we could improve would be to have a mirror in the shower room above the sink. One could be attached to the cupboard easily or have a shaving mirror in there - as it was a little awkward to keep going from the bathroom to the bedroom to use the mirror, rinse the razor etc. Otherwise a perfect stay. Lovely. We have family in Cornwall and look forward to returning next year.
