Snaptrip says

Guests consistently praise the lodge for its tranquil setting, comfortable furnishings, and private hot tub. The serene environment, complemented by wildlife and scenic views, provides a perfect backdrop for relaxation. While some minor cleanliness and maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found the lodge to be clean and well-presented, though a few mentioned minor issues with cleanliness such as cobwebs and algae on the balcony glass. These seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.

The location is highly praised for its quietness and natural beauty, with guests enjoying the wildlife and walks in the vicinity. The distance from some attractions is noted, but does not significantly detract from the overall appreciation of the setting.

The lodge is repeatedly described as comfortable, with special mentions of the quality of the beds, the electric reclining sofas, and the air conditioning. The comfort contributes significantly to the guests' relaxation and enjoyment.

Facilities such as the hot tub, kitchen, and on-site restaurant are generally well-received. However, some guests reported maintenance issues like a leaky tap and a hot tub that needed attention, slightly diminishing the score.

While guests appreciated welcome packs and the provision of robes for the hot tub, there are not enough references to gifts or special touches to accurately score thoughtfulness. It's important to note that such amenities, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

I had some conversations with the team at Stonerush as the trip was for my dad's birthday, and they went above and beyond. When we arrived we found Prosecco, Balloons and a handwritten card in the lodge on our arrival, we also visited the Old Mill and Sally (who is lovely) came up and hugged us all to welcome us, it made our trip feel really special. Stonerush Lakes is beautiful and quiet, while there are a lot of lodges there, it never feels that way, the way they've set it up, it feels incredibly private and extremely peaceful. In the day all you hear are birds chirping and due to minimal light pollution, at night you get to see all the stars. The lodge itself is beautiful and really big, the pictures do not do it justice and it has everything you need for a great time away. You can tell they've put thought into making it a lovely place to stay and little touches like fresh milk being in the fridge when you arrive, a welcome box with coffee, tea, biscuits, extra bin bags, washing up liquid etc are a nice touch. The living room and both bedrooms have a beautiful view down to the lakes, and when you're sitting in bed or on the sofa you just see hills, trees and the lake. The beds and pillows were great also, we all had a lovely night's sleep every night. Even though there are no pictures of the hot tub, it could easily fit 5 people. It's set just off the living room/dining room and very well hidden from view with hangers outside for robes/towels. I was worried being so close to the entrance it would be noisy, but I didn't hear a soul or car the entire 6 days of our trip. The lodge is set back and down from the road that leads down into the site, with 3 sides fully hidden away from view and a private driveway that can fit two cars. I can't say anything except for positive things, I would return in a heartbeat and we were all very sad to leave.
