Located in this charming Cornish fishing village and on the South West Coast Path there is plenty to do close to your doorstep. The cottage provides an ideal base for walkers and families alike, take advantage of the local beaches and South West Coast Path. Take a short drive to Bodinnick where you will find Ferryside, Daphne du Mauriers home where she wrote her first book. The car ferry leaves from here giving you easier access further into the west of Cornwall giving access to experiences such as The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Tate at St Ives and Bodmin Jail. Enter the property to the hallway where you will find space to hang your coats and leave your boots. Immediately in front of you is the kitchen which is well equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Off the hallway is the large open plan sitting/dinning family room with 2 sets of French doors that open out onto a decked terrace with glass balcony with wonderful uninterrupted views across the river Fowey stretching the width of the property. This beautifully light room has comfy sofas and a wood burner where you can cosy up and watch river life unfold or a film on the Smart TV. Take the stairs up to the first floor where you will find the two bedrooms, the first a double and the second is a twin, finishing off the accommodation is the family bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC. You also have access to a small garden to the rear of the property, an additional decked area which is quite a sun trap and the perfect place to enjoy a morning cuppa. Further down the steps is a landing area complete with a running mooring, making it the ideal boating holiday spot. Boats, kayaks and paddle boards can be easily hired locally and delivered to the house. Due to its direct water access, the cottage is located down 45 slate steps. Polruan is a quaint little village situated on a very steep hill, so access to some parts of the village can be challenging. . Many of the amenities, ferries and cottages in Polruan are accessed via steps/slopes some of which can be steep. Please contact us if you have specific requirements. . There are many small winding streets that are not suitable for cars, therefore many properties in Polruan do not have private parking. However, there is a large pay and display carpark at the top of the village. .
