Glanmor is a well-received holiday rental in Polruan, Cornwall, praised for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and beautiful harbour views. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches upon arrival, such as milk, tea, and fudge. While the steep walk to the car park and the noise from the boatyard are noted, these are minor compared to the overall positive experience and the property's charm and convenience.
Guests consistently report that the apartment is immaculate, with several reviews highlighting its cleanliness. The property is maintained to a high standard, contributing to the overall positive experience.
The location is highly praised for its lovely views and proximity to local amenities and the ferry to Fowey. However, some guests mention the challenge of the steep walk to the car park and the noise from the nearby boatyard, which slightly impacts the score.
The majority of guests find the apartment comfortable, with special mentions of the comfortable beds and spacious living areas. A few guests note the small bed size and light in the bedroom, but these are infrequent comments.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the apartment being well-equipped and beautifully furnished. Some guests, however, point out issues with taps, showers, and parking arrangements, indicating room for improvement in maintenance.
Guests frequently express gratitude for the thoughtful welcome gifts, which add to the charm of their stay. It is important to note that such gifts, while appreciated, are a courtesy and not guaranteed for every stay.
A ground floor apartment, part of a row of terraced (formerly fishermen's) cottages, overlooking the boatyard and situated in the heart of the pretty village of Polruan. The apartment has been lovingly restored by the present owners and, on entering, there is a large sitting room with dining area which has a door leading out to the small patio area. This has an array of plants and garden furniture and provides a peaceful haven in which to relax. The sitting area has an woodburning effect electric fire, a TV with Freeview and a DVD player. Leading off the sitting area is the galley kitchen which is fully equipped. There is a double bedroom with views out over the harbour toward Fowey, along with a single bedroom. Completing the property is a wet room with shower which has been furbished with a pebble floor and underfloor heating. This is an ideal holiday location. The popular fishing village of Polruan has a general store, a bakery, a cafe, a gift shop and two pubs - The Russell and Lugger Inns, the latter of which is famous for its seafood. Also within walking distance is the ancient Polruan Blockhouse, with the rocks below making an ideal place for a spot of fishing. You can take the foot ferry over to Fowey and explore the delights and the Bodinnick Ferry gives you quick access to St Austell, the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Also in the area are several National Trust properties, including St Anthony House and Lanhydrock, along with an extensive selection of coastal and inland walks available from the doorstep. A lovely apartment for exploring the area.

The two ferries are convenient but you need to leave Fowey quite early in the evening to return (at least in September). The cottage is very pleasant and tastefully decorated. The bed is small for two people but otherwise comfortable. The property needs a little attention at the end of the season e.g. the bathroom door handle looks as though it may come off, there was no sign of a backdoor key. We had a very pleasant stay there.

The weather was perfect all week and our accommodation at Glanmor was excellent. A very good size apartment with all facilities on tap for our enjoyment. Well recommended.

The corkscrew doesn't work if you take posh wine with corks! Otherwise a lovely spacious, comfortable house.
