Forge Cottage rests on an idyllic site on the outskirts of the village of Mullion, Cornwall. Set over the ground-floor, step into the well-appointed kitchen and get to work on a home-cooked dish, while the rest of the group set the dining table for a hearty feast. After dinner, pop on the dishwasher before retreating to the lounge to unwind; there is also a Smart TV for entertainment. The bedrooms include a king-size and a twin, both neutrally presented, whilst the bathroom is where you can prepare for the day. Mullion is a large village on the Lizard Peninsula, five miles south of Helston and just over five miles from Lizard Point, the most southerly tip of mainland Britain. The village is home to a selection of popular restaurants, shops and pubs, Mullion Meadows Chocolate Factory and coffee shop, as well as Mullion Cove, a pretty working harbour. Helston is a pleasant busy market town famous for its Flora Day Festival and the many stories and legends about the "Furry Dance" are told in the fascinating Helston Folk Museum. Nearby is the Poldark Mine, one of the best underground experiences in the south west and which tells of the widespread mining heritage of this area. Further afield is the harbour town of Falmouth to the east and Land's End to the west. Mullion is a wonderful holiday destination offering plenty of attractions for the whole family.

Thereâs two big fills to play, the owners are so kind and friendly , the accommodation has everything I needed, plus I found it quite cosy , incredibly peaceful and relaxing , plus youâre only a short distance from Mullion Cove .

All facilities made it practical also and we found it very relaxing. The location is also fantastic. walking distance to the local village which whilst small has a convenience store, choice of pubs and takeaway food. Also walking distance to the local chocolate factory/shop and other shops in that vicinity. Also in striking distance to drive to many local attractions/visiting spots including the Seal Sanctuary, the Lizard, Kynance Cove, Helston and Falmouth. We enjoyed it so much we have already booked up to return.
