Generally pleasantly surprised. Could do with a new shower, takes a long while to get hot (waste of water) and when it does it’s not very powerful. Setees could do with some new upholstery. Well equipped with everything you would have at home. Location a bit out on a limb if you want to use the cottage as a base for touring the area.

All was incredibly clean on arrival. The patio view from the patio is less inviting than the pictures make it look as it is more enclosed by other adjacent units, but the overall setting within Pendra Loweth holiday cottages is very attractive. Having the cafe nearby, with its bar and restaurant, was useful, though the menu is limited. My main reservation with this location is that it is not safe or practical to walk to the nearby beach at Maenporth given narrowness of the road and lack of any path or even hard shoulder for pedestrians. Similarly, the walk to Falmouth is also unsafe and quite long (45 min). This meant we had to drive everywhere, and, since the parking lot at Maenporth fills up, made it less advantageous of a location than we had thought. This was not clear on booking and could be made more so in the description. Otherwise, we were very happy with the cottage which was indeed a great base from which to explore the beautiful area. The tips on local restaurants in the book at the cottage were much appreciated.
