About this property

Two bedroomed terraced cottage with a decked area at the front that overlooks the pretty stream running past and is close to the tennis courts on this popular holiday complex known as Pendra Loweth (Cornish for ‘Village of Gardens). Maenporth Beach is within walking distance should you be tempted to an early morning dip. Gew, Cornish for hollow, is a comfortably furnished home with a bright and spacious open plan living area with French windows opening onto the deck. The well equipped kitchen has ample work space. On the first floor are two bedrooms; a double and a twin and a family bathroom. There is an allocated parking space as well as guest parking nearby. Enjoying the south west aspect of the village, Gew benefits from easy access to the coastal footpaths and Maenporth Cove. Maenporth - a popular foodie destination is just a mile away. From Maenporth, walk along the coastal footpath to Swanpool for a refreshing cuppa or chilled ice cream, whilst taking in the marvelous sea views, what a great way to appreciate this special location. The North Helford and Falmouth are perhaps the quintessential Cornish visitor destinations with a mix of beach, creek and woodland that serve some of the most interesting and historic villages and towns. Falmouth itself is home to the National Maritime Museum and Pendennis Castle and a stroll through the cobbled streets a must. A boat trip up the river Fal or across to the Helford or St Mawes is well worth the trip. Given the peaceful location of Gew, it makes for a relaxing family holiday at any time of the year.

Falmouth, with its magnificent natural harbour (the third largest in the world), winding streets and beaches, will keep you occupied for hours. The town's old harbourside pubs, excellent shopping, art gallery and stunning National Maritime Museum simply complete the picture. Pendennis Castle, built by Henry viii, is Falmouth's most popular attraction, sited on its own peninsula with superb panoramic sea views. Across from Falmouth harbour is the beautiful town of St Mawes, surrounded by the rocky coves, sandy beaches and lush green countryside of the Roseland Peninsula. Go there by car (15 miles) or take the passenger ferry from Falmouth (15 minutes).
