Cormorant is a well-received holiday cottage in Cornwall, praised for its stunning views, cleanliness, and comfort. Guests appreciate the well-maintained garden, BBQ area, and the proximity to beaches. The property manager, Holly, is frequently mentioned for her helpfulness. While ongoing building work is noted, it does not significantly detract from the overall positive experience. The property is well-equipped for large groups and offers a peaceful setting with the sound of waves and a crackling burner.
Reviews consistently mention the property being very clean and tidy upon arrival, indicating high standards of cleanliness. The property manager's efforts contribute to this positive aspect.
The property boasts magnificent views and is well-positioned for beach access and coastal walks. Despite some comments about building work, the location's natural beauty and tranquillity are highly regarded.
Guests find the beds incredibly comfortable and the property well-furnished, providing a relaxing and cosy atmosphere. The high-quality bedding and spaciousness contribute to the comfort level.
The property is described as well-equipped with a special mention of the kitchen. Some concerns about garden security and building work are noted, but overall, the facilities meet guests' needs effectively.
While guests express gratitude for the welcoming gifts and the property manager's attentiveness, there are not enough references to consistent thoughtful gestures or gifts to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and not guaranteed.
Cormorant is one of the three Seaspray cottages located on the end of the beautiful West Pentire headland that forms part of the South West Coast Path. This four bedroom cottage is perfect for a family get away, and, the added bonus of it being a bungalow means that guests with less mobility or small children can get around easily. Full enjoyment of the breathtaking views over Goose Rock to the Newquay coast. The Seaspray cottages are a five minute walk from Crantock beach and enjoy the bonus of being just a short walk to Polly Joke beach, making it a family or surfers haven. A few minutes walk away guests can find The Bowgie Inn and C-Bay - a stylish Bistro serving great food and of course, there is the view! Crantock village is only five minute drive, or 20 minute walk away, where there are two more pubs, a Londis grocery store (selling freshly baked bread and pasties), a Post Office and other village attractions. For Poldark fans the cottage is only minutes away from Holywell Bay and the iconic Gull Rocks as seen on BBCs Poldark TV series.
Crantock is a small Cornish village set back from the coast close to the popular resort of Newquay. If you want to escape the crowds, yet still be close to the action, this is the place to be. There's stunning countryside all around and lots of pretty villages to explore; however, it is the coast that dominates. Enjoy superb walks along the coastal path over dramatic cliff-tops, or magnificent surfing on beaches stretching from Watergate Bay in the north to Fistral beach in the centre of Newquay and on down the coast. There are a number of golf courses in the area, National Trust properties, traditional pubs and outstanding restaurants. Newquay itself is a visitor's paradise with a wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as attractions such as the Sea Life Centre, Newquay Zoo and nearby Dairyland and Eden Project.

Had a nice welcome from Holly on our arrival who made us feel at home straight away. There was plenty of space for our group with the most fantastic views of Crantock bay . Lovely scenery and walks right on our doorstep. The property was well equipped and had everything you would need to stay for a week or two. Everyone found the beds to be extremely comfortable and due to it not being near to a busy road, it was a very peaceful location. Had a brilliant stay and would highly recommend booking.

We felt like we were the first people to have ever stayed there. Holly is the secret weapon she goes above and beyond making sure the guests have the best holiday and has such high standards of cleanliness which was very important to me. The view from the lounge is indescribable looking out to sea. The location of the house is unbeatable and Iâd love to come back again.

Facilities were top class. We left early (Thursday) due to the weather closing in, which was a shame. Otherwise, brilliant.
