Rowan Cottage is a detached, beautifully presented, delightful period cottage. The accommodation is laid out over two floors and surrounded by a beautiful garden to the front, rear and side enclosed by Cornish stone wall and a five bar gate. Step into the property and on the ground floor and to your right, you'll find a well equipped kitchen and a cosy and comfortable sitting room. Here there is a large walk in shower, wash basin and a WC. The property has an enclosed garden, the front garden faces South West, so benefits from the sun all day, and is laid to lawn with lots of planting and pretty flower beds.
There is plenty of room in the garden so surf boards, bikes and beach paraphernalia can be stored. It has everything you need for a holiday with a dog, including dog food & drink bowls and a warm hose outside. The cottage is warm and very comfortable, with a cosy living room, airy dining room and warm, spacious bedrooms. The bath is fantastic! It has the most fabulously stocked kitchen I have ever come across, so catering was easy, but we also enjoyed meals and a pub quiz at Treguth Inn in Holywell Bay. The village shop & bakery are easy to walk to & handy for essentials, we bought fresh eggs from next door and Newquay is only 15 mins drive away. The village fish & chip shop was unfortunately shut while we were there, but I can recommend it from previous trips. Despite the windy weather, we had some fantastic walks over the common to Holywell Bay, Polly Joke and Crantock beaches and some lovely coastal path walking. Watching seals near Fistral beach on a very wild & windy day was a highlight of the trip.

Ample accommodation for 6 adults and an infant. The beds are super comfy and showers were powerful. Everything you could wish for was supplied to make our Christmas week perfect - the Christmas tree and mince pies were appreciated. Would thoroughly recommend and would love to stay again.

Beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, very well equipped and lovely location. A real home from home. Light and airy but also warm and cozy. The beds were very comfortable and the tub in the bathroom was devine for a long soak! An ideal base for exploring Cornwall and some good walks very close by. Our dogs loved it there. The next door neighbour keeps chickens so I was able to buy some fresh eggs from them for breakfast. I would highly recommend this property and would most certainly book again
