Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviews on cleanliness are mixed, with several guests finding the lodge spotless and well-presented, while others reported issues with dirtiness, dampness, and mustiness. The presence of both positive and negative feedback suggests an average level of cleanliness with room for improvement.

The location is frequently praised for its peacefulness, beautiful surroundings, and proximity to local attractions. However, some guests noted the steepness of the site and the distance from parking to the lodge as drawbacks. Overall, the location is highly regarded.

Comfort receives positive remarks for the lodge's cosy atmosphere and home comforts. However, some guests mentioned issues with hard beds, mustiness, and cold in the lower bedrooms, suggesting that while generally comfortable, there are aspects that could be enhanced.

Facilities are generally appreciated, with mentions of a well-equipped lodge and on-site amenities like swimming pools. However, reports of maintenance issues such as non-working TVs, dampness, and extractor problems indicate that the facilities are good but require better upkeep.

There is insufficient information in the reviews to assess the level of thoughtfulness in terms of gifts or special touches provided by the hosts. Therefore, a score cannot be given, and guests should not expect guaranteed extras.

The shower over bath was either extremely hot or extremely cold so just used the other shower which was great. There was no toilet roll holders in either bathrooms but pictured. I would suggest a dark rug by front door especially as grass was strimmed 3 days we were there and left around lodge. Pool was clean, not very deep though. Staff friendly on site. Overall good lodge for 3 star stay.

Lots of leave on the balcony can do with a bit of sweeping. Overall we were satisfied with our holiday accommodation...however the shared swimming pool was a disaster which ruined our holiday. There was a large punjabi family of 15 running wild in the pool and staff sitting there didn't intervene and all swimmers had to leave because of them. No one rinsed themselves before entering the pool which wasn't hygienic.

The lodge was exactly what we needed for our week away - shame the weather wasn’t the best but it didn’t dampen our spirits
