The kitchen diner, with its well-equipped amenities and thoughtful details, invites you to whip up hearty meals, while the cosy living room, with its super comfy reclining furniture and wood-burning stove, promises relaxation on those chillier evenings.

Upstairs, the cottage offers plenty of space and flexibility for up to four guests with a twin room and two double rooms, ensuring restful nights after days spent adventuring. The family bathroom boasts a spacious shower with seaside-themed décor. Whether you’re taking in the fresh air over morning coffee in the quaint front garden or heading off to explore the picturesque surroundings, this cottage makes for a wonderful retreat.

The village has a wonderful shop, where all your essentials can be found along with some excellent and authentic locally sourced produce. The village pub is a short walk from the cottage. Just 3 miles and a very short drive away is Widemouth Beach, a magnificent sandy beach with fantastic stone strata reaching upwards from the sand, revealing countless rock pools and small pools for children of all ages to explore. The coastline here is sublime and offers many coastal walks, some leading you to Bude, with its shops, cafes, surf shops and watersport-orientated beaches including Summerleaze, Crooklets and Sandymouth. To the north lies Hartland, its rugged cliffs and dangerous reefs, the final tragic resting place for many a ship through history. Visit Clovelly, the picture postcard village in north Devon, or take a trip to the pretty fishing port of Boscastle or mystical Tintagel to the south, the legendary home of King Arthur. The delightfully named Crackington Haven beach is bracketed by rising cliffs, where views and vistas of the vast Atlantic Ocean offer a spellbinding spectacle.

Wherever your day takes you, return at its end and relax in this rather special haven and plan tomorrow’s adventure.

We had a lovely stay at tea cosy cottage and were made to feel so welcome from the host Jen. Jen went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Great location very close to Bude and surrounding areas . We loved the cosy wood burner on an evening with plenty of logs. Lovely well equipped traditional cottage. We appreciated the flowers and biscuits .
