Located only four miles from Bude, a popular coastal resort and Victorian seaside resort, is the historic Cornish village of Kilkhampton. After a day of exploring the stunning beaches and coastal surroundings, Kilkhampton's mediaeval church, charming shops, and welcoming pubs are the perfect places to relax and unwind. There is no finer place to surf in the country than on the beaches of Bude, and surfers travel from all over to ride the waters there when the conditions are right. When the tide is out, visitors can explore miles of sandy coastline and innumerable rock pools. The South West Coast Path and other rights-of-way wind along clifftops and through lush meadows with breathtaking ocean vistas, making this area a heaven for walkers and nature enthusiasts. If you don't feel like venturing out, there is a good shopping mall close by, as well as many bars, two clubs, and a wide selection of restaurants. Bude's canal is a protected region with peaceful waters and a scenic towpath, perfect for a relaxing afternoon stroll.
