Snaptrip says

Gwynn Cottage in Cornwall is praised for its cosy charm, well-maintained garden, and thoughtful touches like welcome treats. Its location is ideal for exploring local sights and enjoying village amenities. While some guests mentioned minor issues with parking and heating, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many expressing a desire to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests found the cottage to be very clean and tidy, with only a single mention of a mouldy shower curtain and some cobwebs. The cleanliness is generally of a high standard.

The cottage's location is frequently highlighted as excellent, being close to beaches, local attractions, and within a friendly village with a pub and shop. The convenience and appeal of the location are consistently praised.

Guests find the cottage cosy and the garden a pleasant place to relax. However, there are comments about inadequate heating and water pressure, and some guests experienced discomfort due to noise from neighbours.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and secure garden. However, there are remarks about the lack of a tumble dryer, parking difficulties, and some confusion over the type of cooker provided. Maintenance issues like heating and hot water are noted.

While guests appreciated welcome gifts such as scones and cake, there is not enough information to guarantee such gestures for future stays. The provision of dog towels and the secure garden reflect a considerate approach to guest needs.

St. Mabyn, a civil parish, and settlement in the centre of Cornwall, is conveniently located for exploring the region's landscape and shore. The region includes the charming village of Longstone as well. There are many picturesque wonders to be found in the area, which gets its name from a standing stone that was broken up for gateposts about the year 1850. Manor homes in the vicinity include Tregarden, Tredethy, Helligan Barton, and Colquite. The village has a basic range of services, including the St. Mabyn Inn, which serves decent food and beverages, as well as a Post Office and general store, which are ideal for any self-catered trip. Pencarrow Home & Gardens, a Cornish Georgian beauty with 50 acres to explore in addition to the house exhibiting stunning art and antiques, is one of the amazing amenities and attractions that can be found nearby.

You do need to actually read the description as it clearly states the stairs are steep and that parking is a 1 minute walk away, it is a charming cottage not a modern purpose built house. The cottage is spotless, they have everything you may need. Lovely secure garden for the dog, with a nice walk through the fields just up the lane. The pub 2 minutes away is really nice with decent food and friendly locals. We are looking forward to our next stay.

It was nice and cosy place to spend the evenings in front of a log fire. The local pub was excellent and friendly and gave good meals. The only thing that I felt was needed is that I think it could do with a carpet runner by the front door instead of the mat so that you could get into the house to be able to take your wet-muddy shoes off. Other than that a great week.

Overall very clean except for horribly mouldy shower curtain which needs to be replaced. Access to the cottage is via VERY narrow lane and it was impossible to open passenger doors of our Discovery to unload outside cottage. All nearby spaces allocated to residents or taken so we had to park in carpark 300 yds away. So for that reason we would not rebook. But that is the only reason.
