Shetland House is a spacious semi-detached property in Southmead, Bristol, Somerset, offering a welcoming base for families, groups, professionals and contractors alike. Fast, free WiFi keeps everyone connected, while the dining table seats eight, creating a lovely spot to gather over breakfast, dinner or a relaxed evening meal. When appetites call, the galley kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals throughout your stay. An oven and hob, microwave, American-style fridge/freezer and full-size dishwasher take care of the essentials, alongside a kettle, toaster, cooking utensils and tableware. There’s also a washing machine and separate tumble dryer, making longer stays that little bit easier.

When it’s time to turn in for the night, there are six bedrooms to choose from, including four doubles, one single and a ground-floor twin that can be arranged as a Super King on request. The ground-floor bedroom also has its own en-suite shower room and WC, while an additional ground-floor shower room with WC and an upstairs family bathroom with shower help make busy mornings simpler for larger groups. Several bedrooms also have dedicated desks and office chairs, ideal for anyone who needs to catch up on work during their stay.

On brighter days, head outside to the front garden, where the lawn, picnic table and benches offer a pleasant place to sit in the fresh air. There’s private driveway parking for approximately 2-3 vehicles, depending on their size, as well as additional free residential roadside parking. You’ll find everyday shops and conveniences locally, with Cribbs Causeway also within easy reach for a wider choice of shops, supermarkets, cafés, restaurants and leisure facilities. When you’re ready to explore, enjoy a day at Blaise Castle Estate, Bristol Zoo Project or The Wave, or venture into Bristol city centre, Clifton and the Harbourside for sightseeing, shopping, dining and entertainment. For guests visiting Bristol for work, Shetland House is especially well placed. Southmead Hospital is just a few minutes’ walk away, while Filton and major employers including Airbus, Rolls-Royce, MBDA and the Ministry of Defence are conveniently accessible. Aztec West, the wider North Bristol employment corridor, the Brabazon development and the M4 and M5 motorway network can also be easily reached.

Bordering South Gloucestershire and North Somerset, this city is well-placed for accessing a number of picturesque country sites with ample opportunities for walking and cycling. Bristol provides an exceptional number of tourist attractions some of which includes the iconic Victorian Clifton Suspension Bridge, Bristol Zoo Gardens, Bristol Museum and Art Gallery and even Bristol Cathedral. Make sure you explore the Cotswolds aonb and the Mendip Hills aonb, as well as the picturesque coastline with its selection of lovely sandy beaches for those family day trips. Also nearby is the bustling city of Bath, famous for The Roman Baths, Bath Abbey and much more. A delightful base for exploring this wonderful southwest area of England.
