You can get the ferry from Poole to Studland to visit Swanage with its steam train that goes to Corfe Castle, a pretty village with the ruins of a thousand-year old castle. Bournemouth is nearby where you can visit the Oceanarium, the Bournemouth Eye, beautiful gardens, mini-golf, a theatre and there are a variety of events throughout the year.
