From the edge of your door step, Felpham’s scenic promenade featuring a plethora of independent shops, traditional pubs and eateries await discovery and are perfect way to soak up the chilled vibe of this wonderful location. For those of you looking for a more interesting day out the historic towns of Chichester and Arundel are well worth a visit as is the leafy Goodwood Estate, peacefully located on the edge of the South Downs National Park. What a fabulous location just a stones throw from the beach. This was a very spacious house with everything you need. As a bonus there is the best restaurant, the Lobster Pot, located on the beach and specialising in seafood.

Great position perfect for the promenade and the sea so great long walks by the sea.The kitchen was very well appointed and plenty of china and cutlery and equipment.Overall the beds were comfortable, nice bed linen. Plenty of towels. It was great to have key entry so you don’t have to wait for people and being able to get in at 3pm was a real bonus.The sofas were not particularly comfortable. We think there should be mention in the description that the stairs are narrow and reasonably steep and the step at the front door was deep, of course less of an issue for younger people. Both of those should be mentioned in the cottage description, but didn’t spoil the visitIf we owned it we would consider the cost of making the bedroom with the balcony the lounge and put a second bedroom downstairs, not cheap but would be great to be able to sit and look at the sea. Just our ideasThank you for a great stay, fortunately the weather was kind to us.

The old adage of location, location, location really does apply to Ocean Beach, amenities all close by.I would really like to give this property 5* all the way but some things are a tad tired, we did have issues with the TV but Matt was out within a couple of hours and fixed it (I do notice from other reviews this an ongoing problem). Probably with a days work the place would sparkle.As Keith Floyd once said, the difference between good and excellent is 1%
