The only negatives are parking as hard to get a space and the mattresses need updating as really uncomfortable. Stains on sofas (most probably due to lack of respect of other peopleâs stuff. If you spilt anything you would at least clean or clear it up and not leave it to the hosts). Bring your mosy spray as we got bitten quite a lot. Lots of midges flying around. Kindle enough for two days so be prepared to buy your own after that. Fire place is amazing! Thanks to Sam & Jamie for the delicious lemon drizzle cake left for us and the milk so we could have a pot of tea with it. Thanks for a great stay. Would 100% recommend.

This cottage shouldn't be advertised with 5* rating on Sykes until these issues are fixed. If logs aren't provided that should also be removed from the listing.

For a property that sleeps up to 6 people having only one bathroom was a bit of a nuisance, having another shower room /toilet maybe downstairs would be better. The TV in the bedroom at the top of the property didnât work and the stairs were dangerous with no anti slip carpeting/flooring Also the carpet in the double bedroom on the 1st floor was curled up and we tripped over it several times. One of single beds legs (nearest window) in the twin room was faulty and needs replacing. If it was modernised but still keeping the character of the this beautiful cottage it would be the perfect
